MWCC participates in the presentation of the University of Navarra-Onesta Chair
MWCC has participated in the presentation of the University of Navarra- Onesta Chair, called the Onesta Wood Chair. This chair has among its objectives to disseminate and give relevance to the management of forest heritage and develop a culture about wood as a material and its use in construction.
This initiative of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra is made up of a solid interdisciplinary group of experts who work to bring wood and its benefits closer to society, disseminating and promoting its use as an alternative to build more natural and healthier environments.
Aware of the importance of wood throughout the history of architecture and its role in the development of society, the Onesta business corporation and the University of Navarra joined forces to work for the recognition of wood as an attractive material , durable and eco-friendly.
The Wood Chair teaches courses and seminars, organizes scientific meetings and conferences, develops research projects and collaborates in editing and publishing works of interest. Likewise, it collaborates in the development of structural regulations at European level, known as Eurocode 5.
