MWCC participates in the Architecture Madrid Awards 2024 (AMA)

The Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) hosted the first edition of the Architecture Madrid Awards (AMA) on 30 October. An event whose mission is to highlight and value the work of studios, architects and interior designers and which brought together a jury formed by: Carlos Lamela, Tristán López-Chicheri, Lázaro Rosa-Violán, Paloma Sobrini, Sara Folch, César Vidal, Eva Cuesta, Javier Pioz, José Antonio Granero, María José Picchio-Marchetti, Carlos Rubio Carvajal and Diego Gronda.
The event was attended by nearly one hundred studios led by professionals from the sector. The vast majority of them attended as nominees, although they all came together to support this initiative promoted by CEIDA and backed by Madrid World Capital City (MWCC), whose president David García Núñez was also present, as well as representatives of the capital's city council, who did not want to miss the event. They were accompanied by the twelve members of the jury, who, a week earlier, met to deliberate and issue the final verdict in the Porcelanosa showroom.

Nearly 100 entries were submitted in order to compete for some of the awards and win gold in one of the three categories: Architecture, Interior Design and Product. Several ‘silvers’ and four runners-up prizes were also awarded. In addition, honorary prizes and mentions were awarded to important and outstanding figures from the sector, both nationally and internationally.
