MWCC participates in South Summit through Urban Innovation
The South Summit, the annual event that brings together the main actors of the entrepreneurial and technological ecosystem in Spain, was the place chosen by MWCC to present the Madrid Urban Tech Hub. MWCC presented this project in a round table moderated by the president of the entity, David García Núñez and composed by experts such as Ana Esteban (head of innovation for construction in SACYR), Fernando Izquierdo (CEMEX Venture) or Juan Nieto (founding partner of Zacua Ventures) and representatives of the Madrid City Council as the Coordinator of Economy and the Councillor for Innovation of the Madrid City Council, Angel Niño. All of them addressed the challenges and opportunities to transform Madrid into an innovative city from an urban point of view and to position itself globally.
During the roundtable, various technological initiatives that are transforming Madrid's urban infrastructure were discussed. Participants also talked about the crucial role of information and communication technologies in the efficient management of urban resources. They discussed public-private partnerships that are developing advanced solutions in areas such as urban safety, waste management and sustainable urban planning.
The South Summit closed with a call to action for entrepreneurs and technology companies to join the mission to transform Madrid into a metropolis of the future. The Madrid Urban Tech roundtable not only highlighted current developments, but also inspired new ideas and collaborations to further drive urban innovation.
