MWCC participates in Madrid Investment Forum 2024, an event promoted by Invest in Madrid, which has highlighted Madrid's strategic position as a global benchmark in attracting foreign investment.

The institutional opening was led by Miguel López-Valverde Argüeso, Minister of Digitalisation of the Community of Madrid, who stressed that: ‘Technology is now a fundamental lever for investment and attracting talent, economy and wealth’. For his part, Miguel Garrido de la Cierva, President of CEIM-CEOE, underlined the importance of generating a favourable environment for companies: ‘Companies choose the place where they have the conditions in which they will best develop their activity: confidence, legal certainty, friendly business climate, incentive taxation and access to talent.’

During the event, Luis Socías Uribe, CEO of Invest in Madrid, presented the first Report on the Footprint of Foreign Investment in the Madrid Region. This study highlights the positive impact of international investment in the region, reaffirming the importance of openness to the outside world and a pro-European vision as fundamental pillars of Madrid's economic development.
The forum was also the setting for the presentation of the Madrid, investment destination awards, which recognised companies and organisations for their contribution to the economic and social development of the region, with companies such as Fujitsu, Netflix and the Franco-Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry receiving the award for public-private collaboration.

For three days, it has toured municipalities such as Alcobendas, Leganés, Torrejón de Ardoz, Las Rozas and Aranjuez.
In Alcobendas, the regional government's promotion of key sectors of the economy such as information and communication technologies (ICT), biotechnology and the aerospace industry was presented. Leganés hosted a round table on research, development and innovation (R&D&I) and entrepreneurship. In Torrejón de Ardoz, the projection of Madrid's industry was analysed. In Las Rozas de Madrid, the strong positioning of the municipality as a digital hub in southern Europe was explained. In Aranjuez, the global presence of the region and its links with Latin America were examined.
Madrid is a safe, high-value bet, offering an exceptional combination of economic stability, skilled talent and advanced infrastructure, generating opportunities and benefits for both companies and society.
Madrid Investment Forum 2024 has reaffirmed the region's commitment to international investment, consolidating itself as a privileged destination for talent, innovation and business growth.
