MWCC participates in Ifema's Cities Forum

Madrid World Capital City (MWCC) participated in the sixth edition of the Madrid Ifema Cities Forum which took place from June 18-20, 2024 in Madrid. This multidisciplinary and open event proposed a debate on the main urban transformations that seek to improve the quality of life and protect the environment. The association, which is part of the Forum for Madrid, is made up of companies and entities related to engineering, architecture and construction.

Organized in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, the Union of Ibero-American Capital Cities (UCCI), the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and UN-Habitat, the forum was attended by more than 60 Spanish and Ibero-American local governments, as well as a hundred experts from public entities, professional associations and international organizations.

The Madrid Cities Forum 2024 analyzed new economic strategies with a social and environmental focus, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. Best urban practices were highlighted and the effectiveness of new projects will be evaluated to provide possible improvements. MWCC participated in the Madrid Cities Forum analyzing the housing problem in large cities, thus exposing the necessary urban transformations for a new way of designing cities.
