The Madrid World Capital of Construction, Engineering and Architecture Association has signed a collaboration agreement with the Help, Rescue and Salvage Intervention Group (GIRAS).

MWCC is an association committed to society as well as to the local communities in which it operates, which is why it has implemented a socially responsible policy in each of its activities and projects, thus deploying collaboration with entities such as A LA PAR Foundation, Full Inclusion Madrid and recently the Smiles Association.

The Help, Rescue and Salvage Intervention Group aims to promote and act in actions of solidarity, cooperation and social development, intensifying aid to national and international cooperation

The agreement includes the performance of humanitarian work, particularly for carrying out international cooperation projects and emergency humanitarian aid actions in national territory affected by catastrophes or public calamities, whenever possible and within the capacities to face said support.

In addition, it includes the development of a management training offer in areas of public-private cooperation, which will include a management training course aimed at public managers and private providers of public goods and services.

The agreement includes support for child protection. Within the framework of the collaboration established, the planned activities will be: the sharing of materials, guides, studies and reports – both national and international – aimed at eradicating violence, mistreatment and sexual abuse towards boys and girls; the review and orientation of studies, materials and different activities on child abuse, with the aim of ensuring a focus on children’s rights and respect for the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989. Collaboration in activities related to the right of boys and girls to be protected against any form of abuse. This collaboration can be done in different formats, such as the organization of joint events, the participation of members of one institution in activities organized by the other, the joint publication of articles, studies, etc.

Action will also be taken to prevent and combat violence against women and domestic violence. It will contribute to the full social inclusion of people with disabilities, helping to make effective the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
