The 9th Annual Conference of the ECTP, held in Madrid, at the Palacio de Cibeles, has been a success. On December 2 and 3, more than 200 people were invited to attend a hybrid event organized by MWCC and PTEC.

In this event, the capacity of PTEC and MWCC as organizers of public-private technical conferences has been demonstrated, as well as the participation of different players in the engineering, construction, architecture, sustainability and technology sectors at an international level.

In the words of the president of MWCC, David Garcia Núñez “for us it represents the attraction to the city of Madrid and the metropolitan area of ​​the entire ecosystem of the infrastructure sector in Europe, including research centers and universities. Without a doubt, the management and development of this event has been a unique opportunity to attract investment, talent to the city, as well as the possibility of continuing to lead business tourism linked to the capital ”.

For the managing director of the PTEC, Carlos Martinez Bertrand, this event has meant putting construction at the forefront of technology and innovation, attracting the most recognized entities in this field, European and national institutions, as well as giving the opportunity to small and medium-sized companies to bring knowledge closer to the heart of Madrid, at such a crucial time for the digital transformation of the sector.

With more than 15 round tables, 45 conferences, more than 50 speakers, more than 30 international public and private institutions, as well as onsite registration limited by capacity and online, of more than 220 entities from all over Europe, the conference has been a place meeting place for technology and construction in the European environment. The ECTP Conference in Madrid has had strong institutional support: Ministry of Science and Innovation, State Agency and Innovation, ICEX, CDTI, SEOPAN, CNC, … up to 25 entities that gave their support to the organization of the event, as well as the Madrid City Council. The event, in the words of the members of the European Commission, has been the most relevant of those held so far in different European countries. The conferences have had a successful participation, more than 150 people in person and 200 online.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Vice Mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacis, as well as the Delegate of Economy and Innovation, Miguel A Redondo, together with the General Director of Economy of the Madrid City Council, Maria A. Prieto.

The Vice Mayor of Madrid has shown her enormous satisfaction with the development of the congress in the city of Madrid, and thanked MWCC and PTEC for the work carried out, together with the Department of Economy and Employment of the Madrid City Council.
